Blacksmith in Denmark!

You should arrive on Sunday, August 1st, between 2 PM and 10 PM. Don’t be late!

Bring:

• Your own insurance (must cover your room and bathroom)
• A water bottle – there are water dispensers in the canteens at both the hostel and the school - and a mug/cup
•  Keep it simple – space is limited and all furniture must stay in the room

Nope. Electric kitchen appliances like fridges, microwaves, and kettles are not allowed in your room. Shared kettles and fridges are available in the hallway.

Yes! All meals are included 7 days a week. Just note there may be slight time changes during weekends. No cooking facilities are provided.

If you want extra snacks or drinks besides the included meals, you’ll need a payment card – we’re a cash-free school and hostel.

If you’re an international automation student (EUD) with an apprenticeship contract:

• It’s free on weekdays
• If you stay during the weekend, it costs 200 DKK
• You can rent bed linen (duvet cover, sheet, towel) for 75 DKK

It’s super easy to get around:

• Just 7 minutes on foot to the school
• 13 minutes to the busstation
• 27 minutes to the train station

So no stress – everything’s within walking distance!

You’ll need:

• A PC (not a Mac) – school software isn’t compatible with Mac.
  If you don’t have a PC, don’t worry – we have a few you can borrow.
• A calculator – preferably a Texas TI-30 (or use the free Android app)
• A pencil case with pencils, eraser, and paper for notes

Also, bring a water bottle – there are water dispensers in the school canteen too.

Classes follow a regular schedule:

• 08:10–09:50 First lesson
• 10:10–11:50 Second lesson
• 12:20–14:00 Third lesson
• 14:20–15:10 Fourth lesson
  (With breaks in between)

You’ll start with basic electrical theory, and then move on to practical topics like pneumatics, relay techniques, motors, PLC programming, and more.
Around 60% of your time is hands-on in the workshop, and the rest is theory or digital tasks on your PC.
Expect a mix of learning by doing and working with real tools – it's never just sitting still all day!

Yes! We often have social events, get-togethers, and fun activities at the hostel or arranged through the school.

It’s a great way to meet new people, relax after classes, and have some fun.

There are also lots of opportunities outside school – from local sports clubs and associations to youth-friendly places like Mejeriet, which hosts concerts and events.

Ask your teacher when you arrive – they’ll help you find your way and get involved!
