Get the support you need – SPS has your back
If you have a physical or mental disability, you can get Special Educational Support – also known as SPS. It’s a free support scheme that helps students with specific challenges succeed in their education.
Who can get SPS?
You can apply for SPS if you, for example:
- are dyslexic or have dyscalculia (difficulty with numbers)
- have visual or hearing impairments
- have physical disabilities
- experience mental health challenges like anxiety, ADHD or similar
What kind of help can you get?
The support is tailored to your specific needs. It might include:
- special IT tools and software
- a personal assistant or note-taker
- extra time for exams
- specially designed furniture
- regular talks with a teacher or adviser who understands your situation
When and how do you apply?
You can apply for SPS as soon as you’ve been accepted into a programme at EUC Syd. Since it can take up to 6 weeks to process your application, it’s important to apply early!
You’ll need to provide documentation of your challenges, such as a certificate from a doctor, psychologist or other specialist.
Ready to apply?
Just get in touch with one of our SPS advisers – they’ll guide you through the whole process and make sure you get the right support.
