What is the IB Diploma?

IB stands for International Baccalaureate – a globally recognized upper secondary education that gives you access to universities all over the world. You won’t just get strong academic skills – you’ll become a curious and open-minded global citizen, ready to make a difference.

World-Class Education in Sønderborg

At our school, you can take the full IB Diploma Programme – and fun fact: we're the only technical upper secondary school in Denmark offering it. Pretty cool, right?
The entire programme is in English and it's both challenging and super exciting. You'll learn to think critically, understand other cultures, and work with people from all over the world.

Awesome study environment in the heart of Sønderborg

The IB programme is based in our bright and modern buildings at Hilmar Finsens Gade – right in the center of Sønderborg. You’ll have classes in rooms equipped with smartboards, computers, and fast internet. There are also cozy areas where you can do group work or just hang out with your classmates.

The canteen is big and serves healthy, tasty food – and you’ll meet students from lots of different programmes. It creates a great atmosphere and a school day full of life and diversity.

As an IB student, you're part of Teknisk Gymnasium Sønderjylland (HTX), which means you’re invited to join in on parties, sports events, and all the fun social stuff. You’re also more than welcome to join the student council – we love when students help shape the school!
