Sønderborg – One place, lots of possibilities

At EUC Syd in Sønderborg, we’re based in the old Kamgarn Spinning Mill – but don’t worry, there’s nothing old-school about it. The building’s been fully renovated, and it’s open, modern, and full of light.

Even though our address stretches across Hilmar Finsens Gade 14–16 and 18, it’s all one big school with loads of different programs, people, and opportunities. You’ll meet all kinds of students here – from vocational trainees and high schoolers to course participants – and the vibe is just as diverse. One moment it’s geeky classroom debates, the next it’s a kickabout on the grass outside.

We’re close – both in what we study and how we connect – and you’ll feel it whether you’re into maths, mechanics, or multimedia.

Our canteen is way more than just a pit stop. It’s a place to hang out, laugh, and grab a healthy bite. From classic meals to green alternatives, there’s something for every appetite – whether you’re all-in on comfort food or keeping it clean.

Don't live nearby?

No stress – we’ve got a big school dorm with 144 rooms at Søndre Landevej 28. Plus 28 extra rooms for course participants. So there’s plenty of space for everyone who wants to be part of the community – even after hours.

Fun fact: A bit of history nerdiness

Until the 2000s, you could spot a glowing ball of yarn on top of the school’s chimney – a city landmark and a nod to the old spinning mill. The chimney’s gone now, but the idea of shining bright lives on: today, it’s the students and their future that light up the place.
