UNESCO ASP Network

Due to our international exposure and work in the field of sustainability and environment, our 2 high schools – International Baccalaureate and Technical High School – have become members of two UNESCO-ASP networks: The Slave Trade Project and The Whole School Approach. Key words: Slavery - past and modern forms - and Sustainability – in its broadest sense (social, economic, environmental).

Being a UNESCO ASP school means creating innovative teaching materials and setting up collaborations and projects of all kinds (seminars, conferences and study trips to other school members worldwide - 9000) to promote international understanding, peace, intercultural dialogue, sustainable development and quality education in practice.

Among the top priorities on the school members´ agenda is the promotion and implementation of FN´s 17 Sustainable Development Goals voted in 2015. http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/
These new goals constitute a very ambitious development plan for the next 15 years: all countries are urged to mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.
